WordPress is one of the awesome blogging platform being used in current information age. WordPress is being developed and enhanced every day to meet the dynamic evolving requirements of the users.

If you are a WordPress user then you should have already heard about Jetpack. It is an awesome plug-in and must have for all WordPress users. It has features including Social network sharing, stats, and comments form login using FB Connect, Twitter, and Google etc.

Latest addition to this great plug-in is “Mobile Theme”. Blogger users already have the option to turn on Mobile theme for the sake of users who visit the sites on mobile devices. Now WordPress users too can join the party. You don’t have to use 3rd party cranky mobile themes for your site anymore.

Look at the screen shot I’ve taken from my Galaxy Nexus S. Mobile theme looks way too awesome.

Jetpack says

Jetpack’s mobile theme is optimized for small screens. It uses the header image, background, and widgets from your current theme for a great custom look. Post format support is included, so your photos and galleries will look fantastic on a smartphone.

While you take advantage of WordPress mobile theme, take some time to read official post from Jetpack team.

I’ve been writing about WordPress for some time and gave up around 2008 as my career shifted into Software Testing and Later Android development.

Recently me and one of my friends started a Hosting Company. This brought me back into WordPress business again. I know finding WordPress clients would be an advantage while having a Hosting Company. So gonna write more about WordPress in coming weeks.

Good Luck :)

Another security hole found and fixed in WordPress. New patch is available with WordPress 2.6.3.

A vulnerability in the Snoopy library was announced today. WordPress uses Snoopy to fetch the feeds shown in the Dashboard. Although this seems to be a low risk vulnerability for WordPress users, we wanted to get an update out immediately. 2.6.3 is available for download right now. If you don’t want to download the whole release to get the security fix, you can download the following two files and copy them over your 2.6.2 installation.

1. wp-includes/class-snoopy.php
2. wp-includes/version.php

As Matt Asay writes on his Open Road blog, “while this doesn’t technically make Microsoft a distributor of these open-source ‘bits’, it comes pretty darn close.”

While it’s good to see Microsoft recognising yet more open source projects, as it has done with Apache and JQuery, it is still worrying to see that the behind the scenes Microsoft’s lawyers have still not toned down talk of suing open source companies for “patent infringements”.

In an interview with CNet, Microsoft intellectual property lawyer, Horacio Gutierrez, issued veiled threats that if companies such as Red Hat didn’t sign licensing agreements with Microsoft along the lines of the Novell pact, court action could be in their future: “If every effort to license proves not to be fruitful, ultimately we have a responsibility to customers that have licenses and to our shareholders to ensure our intellectual property is respected,” he said.

If you’re opened for registration, it’s a must don’t miss it update it now itself.
